    • At the coronation ceremony of Richard III. In 1483, Edmund Bedingfield was made Knight of the Bath.
      In May 1484 Sir Edmund was appointed as Commissioner of Array to protect the Empire.
      In 1487 under the victorious Henry VII , he served as Sheriff of Norfolk and Suffolk, and was tasked with protecting the East Anglia Coast.
      In June 1487 Edmund Bedingfield fought for his king at the last battle of the Wars of the Roses at Stoke

      There is evidence that King Henry VII visited his loyal supporter, Sir Edmund, at his ancestral home at Oxburgh Hall.
      He is buried in the Bedingfield Chapel at St. John's Church in Oxbourough, Norfolk.
