- Ommund was the oldest boy and would have inherited the family farm at Greipstad, but he died young at age 37, and his wife Inger Marie Torgjusdr died two years later at age 35.
The farm was then divided up amongst his three younger brothers.
His three boys, Sigvald, Ole, and Edvart were looked after by Mette Cathrine (Kattrine) Torgjusdr who was their aunt and the sister of their mother Inger Marie.
